Steel Tape Armour Single Loose-Tube Cable 2-16 Core

OPTiLite Steel Tape Armoured Unitube Cable family offers up to 24 fibres in a compact cable construction. CSTA (Corrugated Steel Tape Armour) cable is offered in OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4 multimode or OS2 (ITU-T G.652D/G.657A1) single mode 900μm tight buffered construction with E-glass strength members. It has a similar design to Loose Tube cable but it can be use for direct burial applications and offers protection against rodent damage. The cable consists of an internal loose tube, within this tube there is a bundle of 250μm fibres that either have a gel or water absorbent powder to protect the fibre against water ingress, there is a Kevlar yarn then a Steel Tape for extra protection and then a UV stable LSZH outer sheath.
